COVID-19 DO&LRS STATEMENT/EMERGENCY FUNDING APPEAL

Good news. Meetings and events have now restarted. The first social meeting will take place on the 4th September. See the EVENTS page for further details

No doubt you will all be aware of the effects that the restrictions imposed to keep us safe during the coronavirus pandemic have had on public transport and the historic bus movement.

What you may not know is the serious consequences that all these restrictions have had on DOLRS’ ability to raise funds through the normal run of events and meetings. We have lost all the income that would have been generated by the Isle of Axholme running day, together with income from the sales stall and donations normally received at meetings and on trips out. The only income we still have is membership fees.

Although we have put a stop on all unnecessary spending, we still have regular bills to pay, such as storage fees for the vehicles at Sandtoft, plus other outstanding invoices. Our reserves are therefore severely depleted and we predict these will run out during 2021 if we don’t do something about it. Hence this appeal. You can use the Donate button below to pay via Paypal. We thank you for your generosity and understanding. Any support you can give to his appeal, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated

Hopefully we can get back to some kind of normality in 2021.
